The Tennessee Titans’ Edge Vs. The Ravens
The Titans showed on the weekend that they are a handful. The Patriots decided to shut down their passing offense but ended up surrendering 182 rushing yards from RB Derrick Henry.
It’s a pick your poison kind of approach for anybody that tries to stop the Titans. If they put a bunch of players in the box, then QB Ryan Tannehill can always go over the top with WR AJ Brown.
The Best Rushing Offense In The League
Tennessee understands the Ravens had the best rushing offense in the league in 2019, but they were not shy themselves. The team had the best tailback of the season as Henry had 1540 yards and 16 touchdowns this year.
Henry had 204 All-purpose yards against New England but also found the end zone twice.
I’m sure Baltimore will have a better approach to tackling and defending Henry, but the team once allowed Nick Chubb 193 rushing yards in their loss to Cleveland.
Baltimore Ravens’ Edge Vs. The Titans
The Ravens’ edge over the Titans or any other team is their potent offense. The team averaged 206.0 rushing yards per game during the season, which is a number that no one has seen before in the NFL.
QB Lamar Jackson should win the MVP award in a few weeks, after posting 1206 rushing yards, 3127 passing yards and 43 touchdowns between passing and running. He has been nearly unstoppable over the last two months.
One of the keys of the game is RB Mark Ingram, who is dealing with a calf injury suffered against the Cleveland Browns in week 16. He has been limited at practice this week, but almost three weeks of rest should do the work for him.
The Ravens Need Mark Andrews Back
Ingram was accountable for 1018 rushing yards and ten touchdowns in 2019.
The Ravens also need TE Mark Andrews back. Andrews suffered an ankle injury also against the Browns. He has been limited in practice but is expected to play.
Tennessee Titans At Baltimore Ravens NFL Divisional Playoffs Prediction
The Titans did what many believed was unthinkable by eliminating the Patriots last week, but the Ravens are a different animal this year.
The spread is gigantic, but Baltimore’s offense has been nearly unstoppable all year. They averaged 33.1 points per game in 2019, which is the best number in the NFL, but they won eight of the last ten games by double-digit difference.
As much as the Titans were the right play last week in New England, I don’t think they have the personnel to stop the Ravens’ run-pass offense. Bet Ravens -9.5.
