Rose Namajunas Vs. Jessica Andrade Fight Odds
- Namajunas: -105
- Andrade: -125
Rose Namajunas is going to war and with the public in favor of Andrade in Brazil. Jessica Andrade is a legit contender to take the title away from rose. She has some vicious strikes in her hands. Her ground game it’s aggressive and maybe something different from everything we’ve seen before at 115 pounds. When she knockout Karolina Kowalkiewicz with a powerful right hook we were all in shock. First, because the result was unexpected and second, due to the brutality of the blow on Kowalkiewicz.
The style and power of the Brazilian is not something common in the division. It’s clear that Andrade’s power will play a huge roll on this fight. Her power is not something Namajunas should underestimate. So far, Rose tends to strike looking to take her opponent down and from there it turns into a game of control, transition, position, and submission. Of course, this is only a roadmap, but she’s incredible to adapt when needed to get that submission.
The advantage that Rose Namajunas has is her combat style and agility. On top of it, we can’t ignore the fact that she never tends to expose herself to such heavy blows. Namajunas is creative, and she can take the fight to levels where Andrade might not be so comfortable working from. Rose is an incredibly versatile fighter with a wide range of resources in her arsenal on the way to submission. On the other hand, the power of Jessica makes her dangerous if Rose’s plan is to exchange blows or go for takedowns.
The fact that they are fighting in Brazil and the power of Andrade are enough factors for me to take the Brazilian. I’m happy to take a shot on power over technique this time. Jessica Andrade at -125 makes sense. I’m also comfortable taking a shot on Jessica taking the title from Namajunas by KO, TKO, DQ or submission at +210.
