UFC 241: Cormier vs. Miocic 2 Free Expert Picks and Betting Odds

This Saturday, UFC travels to Anaheim, California to bring us a terrific rematch in the UFC heavyweight division. Daniel “DC” Cormier comes back to the Octagon. In the main event, the “Champ-Champ” is ready to defend his title against Stipe Miocic.
Don’t expect the same fight we saw in UFC 226 when DC made UFC history by knocking out Stipe Miocic in the first round. That night Cormier became the first UFC athlete to hold the light heavyweight and heavyweight titles simultaneously.
Daniel Cormier vs. Stipe Miocic 2 – UFC 241 Betting Preview
Fighter | Moneyline |
---|---|
Daniel Cormier | -145 |
Stipe Miocic | +115 |
The big question in this bout is if Miocic has the mental strength and ability to avenge his loss against DC. If the answer is yes, it would be hard not to classify Stipe as the best heavyweight of all time.
Same Fighters, Different Fight
These two guys know each other’s game. I’m aware Cormier KO’d Miocic in about three minutes the last time they faced each other in UFC 226. You’re probably thinking this isn’t enough to measure each other’s ability.
However, three minutes in the Octagon against a trained killer feels like an eternity. But what’s different this time? Well, Stipe comes hungry to get back his glory. He tested DC’s abilities, and to a certain extent, he probably will be extremely careful of Cormier when shortens the distance between them.
Cormier is 40 years old and has been talking about his retirement for over a year. The Champ-Champ got an analyst gig on Kobe Bryant’s show.
It’s happening …. DETAIL is coming to UFC. Proud to have @dc_MMA join myself and Peyton Manning as the next “From the mind of…”. He is a BEAST! You can catch the first episode on @ESPN+ Monday, July 1. pic.twitter.com/Nuas7queaV

He teaches wrestling to kids, and he has a lot going on outside the Octagon. It would not be crazy to see DC’s name in the UFC Hall of Fame at some point. He is already focused on his career outside the Octagon.
Despite Miocic losing the last bout — and his title — against DC we saw several brilliant moments from Stipe during that fight, until he got caught.
We do have a different fight now. I don’t think we will see much feeling out. Stipe is coming with a bit of anger to get back his belt. Hopefully, this won’t translate to frustration. He is going to fight a lot harder this time.

What’s The Pick For Cormier vs. Miocic 2
As the date of this writing, we find DC as the favorite at -145 on MyBookie with a 59.18% implied probability, which isn’t surprising — considering how the last fight went for him and all the great things we’ve seen from the Champ-Champ inside the Octagon.
He looks in good shape and seems confident of his game, despite his age. Also, there’s a big chance the fight won’t last five rounds, but this is common in the division as a single blow from these guys can put anyone to sleep.
Stipe Miocic The Underdog
In the other corner, we find Stipe Miocic at +115 with a 46.51% implied probability. Which I feel is at least 5-10% higher. Remember, we’re talking about the guy who set a record in the division by defending his title three consecutive times.
Miocic had incredible performances against world-class contenders like Alistair Overeem, Junior Dos Santos, and Francis Ngannou.
The lines will probably adjust later this week. However, I feel confident about taking a shot on the dog on this one.
