Warriors Vs. Rockets NBA Playoffs Game 3 | Expert Picks And Betting Odds
The two first games in Oakland were not kind to the Houston Rockets. Now that they are at home, they will try to avoid going into a 0-3 hole when hosting the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of their second-round NBA playoffs series. Game two was weird. I don’t even know what to make of it. Golden State dominated with no problems. James Harden suffered a hit in both eyes, and they went red like a Marvel Character in a movie. And somehow the game ended with a six-point difference. Those who took the line at 6 ended with an unsatisfying push at the end.
Golden State Warriors Vs. Houston Rockets Game 3 Betting Preview
The series moves to Houston where it should get a little evener. The Rockets are favorites for the first time in the series. MyBookie.ag currently has them at 3.5-point favorites after the betting lines opened at 4-points. The Rockets averaged 107.0 points per game during their series against Utah in the first round, but that number dropped to 104.5 against Golden State. James Harden has been good averaging 32.0 points per game. But he knows those averages need to skyrocket in the games at the Toyota Center or his team won have any shot.
MyBookie.ag has Houston at +500 at the series price being down 0-2. That’s an implied probability of 17% they can come back from this mess and win the series. If you are looking for value in a possible comeback, this is the time to place the bet. You won’t find a better value than +500. If the Rockets win game 3, then that value drops. And if they lose it, why bother making a bet down 0-3.
Golden State hasn’t played great and yet they are 2-0 against the opponent everybody thinks can knock them out. That has to feel great in the locker room. Their series prices odds are -700 at the moment with 87% of chances. If they lose Game 3, then those odds will take a small hit, and you might get slightly better value. Steph Curry had a dislocated finger in Game 2, but he’s expected to play on Saturday Night. Curry is averaging 19.0 points per game in the first two meetings against Houston. He might be in for miserable night on the road if the finger bothers him.
That will put a lot more pressure on Kevin Durant, who is averaging 34.3 points per game during this postseason. It’s fun to see the dynamic of the Warriors in these playoffs because Durant is carrying with the offense. But I’m not sure he’s enjoying no getting any help from the rest of the cast. Houston knows they need to win Game 3 or their season will be doomed. There is no tomorrow for the Rockets, and that’s why I’m riding with the home team in this one. Steph Curry’s finger injury should have some consequences against Golden State.
