Washington State Vs. Colorado – College Football Week 11 Picks
Washington State Cougars vs. Colorado Buffaloes Predictions
We are used to seeing Washington State late on Saturday night. They will get an afternoon visit to Colorado this weekend, listed as a touchdown favorite by the Mybookie.ag oddsmakers. The betting line opened with the Cougars as 4.5-point favorites. The wise guys put some money on so the line moved a few points towards the visiting team. I can see it dropping half a point by the time of the kickoff, ending at 6.5. 68% of the betting public is taking Washington State despite the fact the Cougars didn’t cover the spread last weekend.
The Cougars have won five straight since their only loss of the season visiting USC. I still think Mike Leach sits at night thinking how that one got away. Because of that loss, Washington State is outside looking in at the playoffs conversation. Last week, they worked hard to beat Cal 19-13, but they failed to cover as 10-point favorites. Washington State is 3-1 on the road, and perhaps their most impressive win of the season came in their away outing at Stanford. Beating the Cardinal 41-39 was a sensational feeling for the Cougars. It gave them validation.
Colorado is clearly in desperation mode after losing four in a row. The losses against USC, Washington, Oregon State, and Arizona dropped them to 5-4 after an exhilarating 5-0 start of the season. The Buffaloes have allowed 42 and 41 points in the losses against the Beavers and the Wildcats. Neither have the kind of offense Washington State will present this weekend. It’s a horrible time for Colorado to host the hot Cougars. Mike Leach and his team are not playing around, and they are getting used to playing with all the hype going their way. I’m all in the Washington State bandwagon and a team like Colorado it is not the reason I will drop out it. What’s the play? Washington State -7.
