Washington Vs. Washington State – College Football Week 13 Picks

Washington Vs. Washington State - College Football Week 13 Picks

Here comes the most beautiful mustache in College Football as Gardner Minshew and crazy uncle Mike Leach have the change to seal the Pac-12 North division on Friday. Washington State host Washington in a battle of offensive units trying to prove everybody wrong. While the Cougars are trying to win a spot in the playoffs, the Huskies are eager to show they are still the best team in the Pac-12 North. It’s going to be fun.

The oddsmakers made Washington a 3-point favorite for this last regular season matchup after it opened at 3.5-points. 51% of the betting public is betting Minshew, the mustache and the rest of the Cougars offense to cover the spread. The game total is at 48.5 points. It started at 53 points.

Washington Vs. Washington State Predictions

If you have been following my picks all season, by this time you know I’m in love with Washington State and that crazy winning culture they have put together in 2018. Not only are they 10-1 against the spread, but they are so much fun to watch. Last week they scored 55 points on Arizona in the first two quarters. The Cougars ended up scoring a season-high 69 points on the Wildcats.

I tell you, Mike Leach is a football genius, borderline-lunatic when calling games. His quarterback Gardner Minshew passed the ball 55 times last week completing 43 of his attempts. He posted 473 yards and seven passing touchdowns. Leach call run plays just to mess around with the opponents. He doesn’t need to. His team is so passing driven is crazy. Yet again they are the most fun team to watch out there. At one point Washington was similar to this. Two years ago when they reached the College Football playoffs. The Huskies used to lean a lot on the passing game and the arm of QB Jake Browning, but that has changed a lot. Especially Browning’s ability to dominate the game.

During the 2016 season, he posted 43 touchdown passes. He has thrown 35 TDs in the last two seasons combined. This year has been particularly disappointing with just 16 touchdowns. I’m sure the Huskies coach Chris Petersen sees the Cougars offense and gets a little envy. That’s what his offenses used to look like. Petersen was a manic offensive play-caller in the best years of Boise State and did just that in the first few seasons with Washington, but not this year. The offense has been disappointing in 2018. I don’t see how Washington keeps up against Washington State. I have adopted the Cougars as my favorite team this season, but even if I’m a little biased, Washington State is just steamrolling both opponents and the oddsmakers’ spreads. What’s the play? Cougars -3.
