Best Betting Site Alternatives To Lunar Bets Sportsbook
Lunar Bets Review
They also operate exclusively using the crypto-currency, Bitcoin. All wagering, deposits, and withdrawals, are all done strictly through BTC. They do not accept any other virtual currencies, such as Dogecoin or Litecoin. As far as operations, there is little detail regarding Lunar Bets’ operations. It appears that they run their operations from the United Kingdom, but the UK Gambling Commission does not regulate them.
However, it does appear that they have no location restrictions, meaning that they accept players from all over the world, including in grey and prohibitions betting markets. This is typically standard procedure for most BTC gambling sites, but some do have location restrictions. Atypical of Bitcoin gambling sites is Lunar Bets’ registration process. There is no option for betting anonymously. Instead, anyone who wants to bet, must make an account.
Making an account only requires an email address and a password, so it’s not as if they’re asking for a bunch of invasive information. However, most top level BTC-betting sites allow players to bet fully anonymously if desired while also having the option to create an account.
A Personal Opinion on Lunar Bets Sportsbook
What We Like About Lunar Bets
We’re always happy to see new betting options available to players worldwide, provided they pay their customers. Lunar Bets certainly pays their players, and quickly. On this front, they’re doing an excellent job. Our experience with support has been excellent. Despite their small size, they do provide 24/7 support through live chat. Email response times are also strong. Their support staff is easily their best attribute.
What We Don’t Like About Lunar Bets
Lunar Bet’s tagline is “Bitcoin sports betting to the moon!” Their slogan is a fitting one, albeit, we’re talking a bit tongue and cheek. A more fitting slogan might be “Bitcoin sports betting juiced to the moon!” Quite simply, Lunar Bets has some of the worst odds online, perhaps the worst. There may be some value on this site in some rogue market, but right now, it’s probably one of the last places we would look online to bet sports.
Aside from their poor odds, they offer no deposit bonus. There are no live betting options, which has become a must-have at just about every online bookmaker. To be honest, we’re actually glad they don’t provide live betting markets, as we can only imagine how high the vigorish would be for in-play betting market.

Lunar Bets Review Highlights
Betting Interface
Aside from support, Lunar Bets’ interface is easily their best attribute. It’s sleek, user-friendly, and extremely fast. All the sports and markets are listed to the right of the screen with the bet slip located on the left. There is no need to reload the page when moving from market to market or finalizing your wager.
The one major negative with their software is the lack of any other odds format besides decimal. We would be hard-pressed to find another bookmaker that doesn’t offer at least two different odds types. There is no option to change the odds to American or fractional, even after making an account. After speaking with support, we confirmed that these are their only available odds. This isn’t a huge deal for savvy bettors, (if they had decent odds) but a lack of other odds types will turn players away immediately.
Decent Markets, Poor Odds
Lunar Bets has a relatively decent number of sports and betting markets. Odds are available on an extensive list of sports. Their focus seems to be on Western European sports rather than North American events, but they have a large list of both.
Their full list of sports includes baseball, basketball, e-sports, hockey, rugby, soccer, tennis, and volleyball. There are soccer and basketball leagues from all over the world available for betting. When it comes to sports offered, their options are slightly above average, particularly when you consider their extensive e-sports markets.
When it comes to markets, there is a lot more room for improvement. Their markets go slightly beyond the traditional offerings of sides, totals, and moneylines, but there isn’t much beyond that. There are no futures markets, parlays or teasers. As we have mentioned several times in this review, their odds are among the worst online. All their markets are heavily juiced. There is little to no value available as it currently stands.
Wagering Limits
Lunar Bets has a minimum wager of 0.001 BTC. After looking on their site and speaking with support, they claim to have maximum betting amount. For some reason we doubt this is the case, but even if it were true, their odds are in no way enticing. Lunar Bets may have a larger betting limit than other Bitcoin sportsbooks. This is likely because their odds are so poor that no one could beat them long term. They would also have a tough job beating them in the short term.
Lunar Bets Site – Deposits and Withdrawals
Bitcoin is the only accepted method for deposits and withdrawals. Deposits are credited almost instantly with only a single confirmation needed for funds to be credited to your account.
Withdrawals are also processed immediately, for the most part. Payouts over 20 BTC may require manual approval, but any amount lower than that and players can expect Bitcoins to start hitting their wallets in minutes.
Lunar Bets is one of the few BTC-only sites that does charge a fee on withdrawals. It’s quite small, just 0.0001 of each transaction, but the vast majority of sites that deal solely in crypto-currencies do not charge any fee to withdraw.
Lunar Bets Sportsbook Support
Avoid – Until Something Changes
Lunar Bets is paying players on time and does have excellent software. However, their markets are nothing that stand out, and their overall odds are among the poorest online. Until that changes, they should be avoided. They aren’t a scam sportsbook because they do pay players, but their odds are so poor that players deserve a warning.
