RealBet Sportsbook Review

Warning: 06/19/18 RealBet is behind on payments and a player has not been paid for nearly over a year. SBR has put them on the blacklist as of 2018. Avoid RealBet. There are many other options available for US residents. There is no need to even consider RealBet.eu as an option.

RealBet Review Summary

Sports Betting Site RealBet LogoRealBet.eu is an online sportsbook and gambling site that opened their doors in 2015. They are one of the few new betting websites being opened these days that accept American residents. RealBet, provided they turn out to be a success, will be a welcomed addition to the US-facing online sports betting industry.

RealBet is based offshore with offices in Curacao. The betting company is also licensed and regulated the Curacao Internet Gaming Association (CIGA). In addition to online sports betting, they have an online casino, powered by Betsoft. Their sports betting interface is proprietary software. RealBet accepts from most jurisdictions around the world but is heavily focused on American betting markets. The vast majority of the clients reside in the United States, and their betting markets and options reflect that.

A Personal Opinion On RealBet

What We Don’t Like About RealBet

With the team behind RealBet, we recommend them from a safety perspective, but it’s still tough to put them up there with the top options, like BetOnline, Bovada, or 5Dimes – all sites with much longer track records. Also, there just simply isn’t much about these guys online. Support seems to be a weak spot for them, which isn’t something you want to hear about a new entry to the market. There’s a complaint on SBR’s Forum from April 2016 from a player stating he requested a check payout that was taking over a month to process.

A moderator responds back stating that SBR had a complaint several weeks before from a player that and management at RealBet was quick to respond, and the situation was resolved. It’s good that it was fixed quickly, but players being forced to get a third party involved to get paid isn’t exactly a positive. They’re massively geared towards recreational players. This doesn’t make them a poor option by any stretch, but their betting limits are among the lowest online. They take just $1,000 on NFL spreads and totals. Although, these limits may be flexible, depending on the type of player you are.

Finally, their cashier leaves a lot to be desired. There is only one method available for both deposits and withdrawals. These are credit or debit card deposit and check, respectively. This t simply isn’t enough options. Payment processing issues with U.S. customers isn’t an excuse for such few cashier methods. Bitcoin is an entirely free method regarding cost for both deposits and withdrawals. It’s available at just about every other offshore sportsbook these days.

RealBet Review Highlights

Interface

Their in-house betting software isn’t anything special, but it works. Customers can choose from three different odds types, including the American default odds, but markets are also available in decimal and fractional formats as well.

RealBet Sportsbook Betting Interface

Players won’t be blown out of the water with their betting client, but it’s relatively quick and placing different bet types is a painless process. It’s as straightforward as any interface as we’ve used, which is excellent for the recreational players that they are targeting.

Markets And Odds

RealBet, perhaps more than another sportsbook online, is focused on American betting markets. There will be some other sports available for betting, most notably soccer, but the lion’s share of the markets are focused on basketball, football, hockey, and baseball. Other sports available include golf, tennis, mixed martial arts, boxing, entertainment betting, rugby, horse racing, and the Olympics. There may be more sports available as the sportsbook gains more market share, but for now, this is their full betting menu of sports listed on the left side of the homepage.

As far as bet types, they provide if-bets and reverses, parlays, teasers, and progressive parlays in addition to straight wagers. Their odds on parlay and teasers are below the industry standard. We do not recommend this sportsbook for these bet types. Markets aside from sides, totals and futures will be most prominent with football, basketball, and baseball. They have an extensive list of propositions for each NFL football game and plenty of props for MLB and NBA contests.

The biggest disappointment comes in regards to live or in-play betting. RealBet does have live betting markets, but they are only for NFL and NCAA football markets for now. Live betting for all four major U.S. sports has been available at most online sportsbooks for years now. Hopefully, they look to add this feature soon.

Small Betting Limits

As mentioned above, RealBet is a heavily focused recreational sportsbook. We’re not sure if there is a sportsbook with lower default betting limits than RealBet. We assume they may allow players to bet more if you speak with support, but this may not be the case if they look at your account and see that you’re placing what may be +EV wagers. We wouldn’t be at all shocked if RealBet limited accounts quickly that were deemed to be sharp. There is no evidence of this just publicly, but judging by their betting limits and odds in some sports, it appears they don’t want to take anything but recreational action.

Their betting limits are low, to say the least. They have a maximum of $1,000 on point spreads and totals of all sports. They do post lines somewhat earlier than other shops, but they have overnight limits at just $250 for most sports. Most props and futures have a $200-$300 maximum bet.

RealBet Deposits And Withdrawals

Poor Cashier Options

RealBet’s worst attribute is their cashier, and it’s not close. They have the fewest number of deposit options we’ve ever seen at an online sportsbook. Currently, they accept deposits solely through debit and credit card. Thankfully, they accept MasterCard and Visa. The success rate for player deposits goes up substantially with them taking both card types. If there’s a silver lining to having one method, that would be it. Few sites accept MasterCard deposits, in general.

Only One Payout Method

Their only withdrawal option is via paper check, which is processed via FedEx or DHL. Players will receive one free payout per month over $250. Any payout under $250 will be subject to a $50 processing fee and all checks after your first free payout will be charged $50 as well. RealBet quotes a 15-20 business day processing time for checks, which doesn’t include the days of transit. We’re not shocked to hear the complaint at SBR with these quoted timeframes.

It’s tough to guess accurately how quickly RealBet pays their players because they are currently not that popular of a bookmaker. As time goes, we will get a better picture of their payout speeds. As of right now, based on their quoted rates, they are definitely slower than the market standard.

RealBet.eu Support Review

Support seems to be hit or miss. Some players have experienced strong support while others have had issues. Their customer service team does not operate 24/7, and they don’t have a live chat feature. Support can be contacted by email or phone.

Overall Conclusion About RealBet.eu

RealBet is a viable option for players but is far from a recommended choice. Their deposit bonus is nice, but their odds and markets are below the industry standard. We trust them as much as you can trust a new offshore sportsbook, but there is always a risk with new operators. Deposit for the bonus and try to run it up a balance while clearing it, but after that, it’s probably worth heading elsewhere.
