2020 NFL Draft Betting Odds

The 85th NFL draft will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on Thursday, April 23rd to Sunday, April 25th, 2020. The NFL hasn’t mentioned the specific details of the Draft with the coronavirus pandemic at a boiling point. But what we do know is the NFL Draft will happen.

The Cincinnati Bengals hold the first overall pick for the 2020 NFL draft after finishing last season with a 2-14 record. It will be the fourth time the Bengals have the first overall pick in the draft, but the first time since 2003.

Cincinnati selected QB Carson Palmer back in 2003, RB Ki-Jana Carter in 1995, and DT Dan Wilkinson in 1994. Neither made it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Tua Tagovailoa +1400
Justin Herbert +2500
Jeffrey Okudah +6000

Who Will Be The First Overall Pick In The 2020 NFL Draft?

LSU Tigers QB Joe Burrow is the clear favorite to be the first pick in the 2020 NFL draft. Bovada has Burrow listed as going to the Bengals at -10000.

In 2019, Burrow had the most prolific season for a QB in the history of the NCAA. It would be a bold move by the Bengals to consider any other candidate.

Joe posted 5671 yards, 60 touchdowns, just six interceptions while leading LSU to win the 2019 college football title. He also added five rushing touchdowns.

The 60 touchdowns are the new NCAA record for most passing touchdowns in a season. Burrow not only took LSU to the promised land, but his team finished undefeated while beating seven ranked teams in the process.

Joe Burrow posted another NCAA record in the College Football Playoffs semifinals. He threw seven touchdown passes in the first half during the win over Oklahoma.

The Bengals Top Pick Options

The media posted several comments about the Bengals considering many options for the top pick, but that’s smoke and click bait articles. Cincinnati lacks a good quarterback, and they have the pole position to select the best one of the 2020 class.

Sure, the Bengals have a lot more holes on their roster, but picking good quarterback is the first step in a rebuild. The organization can take the rest of their draft picks and free agency to surround Burrow with talent.

Burrow’s arrival to Cincinnati has the savior stigma attached to him. It’s nothing personal, but most franchises and fan bases think their new brand quarterback is the turning point for their team. It’s natural to feel that way.

When the Bengals draft Joe Burrow, the AFC North will have four quarterbacks selected in the first round of the draft. Three of them, Lamar Jackson, Baker Mayfield, and Burrow, under the age of 25. Ben Roethlisberger will be the only veteran inside the division.

Is There Any Candidate Other Than Joe Burrow for The First Overall NFL Draft Pick In 2020?

Defensive end Chase Young is the only name worth mentioning in the discussion. Many scouts said he’s the best player in the draft regardless of the position. He’s listed +1200 to get picked by the Bengals with the first overall selection.

Young recorded 30.5 sacks in three years with the Ohio State Buckeyes. In 2019, he led the nation with 16.5 sacks and six forced fumbles.

Chase Young is the best defender in the 2020 NFL draft and is not close. But the Bengals would be crazy to pick anybody other than Joe Burrow. Franchise quarterbacks are hard to find.
