Will The Clemson Tigers Remain Undefeated For A Third Year?

Clemson not only are the champions, but they are undefeated over the last two years. Somehow, they are 6-points dogs in a game they have gotten used to playing.

QB Trevor Lawrence is 25-0 on his career. That includes two wins in the College Football Playoffs semifinals and a victory in last year’s National Title game.

Lawrence Is Key For Clemson Offense

I think everybody can agree Lawrence delivers in the big moments. Against Ohio State, he completed 18 of 33 passes for 259 yards and two scores. His most significant and impressive drive came in the last possession when he took his team 94 yards in four plays to get the lead.

Lawrence also had 107 rushing yards and a touchdown against the Buckeyes. Ohio State not always gave him what he wanted in the passing game, but the sophomore took advantage of any space to run.

Trevor Lawrence hasn’t thrown an interception since October. He has 22 touchdowns and zero interception in his last seven games. He’s the reason Clemson got it together in the final stretch of the season.

Offense Can Adapt And Overcome

It also helps RB Travis Etienne is such an every-down player. Without being able to establish the run against Ohio State, Etienne made himself useful in the passing attack. He had three receptions for 98 yards and two scores.

LSU Tigers Could Win In Fairytale Fashion

The LSU season has been fantastic. They are one win away from ending it in a fairytale fashion.

When the College Football season started, LSU was a midrange program that nobody gave it a chance. Four months later, they are 6-point favorites to beat the College Football Champions in the biggest game of the year.

The reason to be favorites is mainly because of QB Joe Burrow and the playcalling of Joe Brady. The combination between the two had made the Tigers the most unstoppable offense in the NCAAF.

LSU Offense Rests In Burrows Capable Hands

Burrow had what can only be considered an impossible performance against Oklahoma. He completed 29 of 39 passes and was responsible for eight touchdowns in the win against the Sooners. The seven passing TDs were in the first half, which is a record inside the NCAAF.

Joe Burrow’s season totals have reached unreal numbers. He has thrown 5,208 yards, 55 touchdowns, and just six interceptions. Burrow has put together one of the most impressive seasons in College Football history, and beating Clemson would be the cherry on top.

It’s not fair to forget about WR Justin Jefferson, who was an absolute nightmare against Oklahoma. Jefferson caught 14 passes for 227 yards and four touchdowns.

Clemson Vs. LSU National Championship Game Prediction

The way LSU beat Oklahoma was so overwhelmingly impressive that we and the general public might overreact. It’s easy to fall in love with them. They have the offense, the quarterback, and the coach to feel confident about the chances to win one more game.

However, there is a team that has been here before, and they won’t flinch against anybody. Over the past five years, Clemson has proven they are a program made for the big stage, and it would be foolish to think they will get rolled over by LSU.

Clemson With A Coaching Edge

I fully expected coach Dabo Swinney to have them ready to fight for another championship title. It’s tough to out coach Dabo. Not even Alabama’s Nick Saban has done it regularly. And that gives Clemson the coaching edge.

Quarterback Clash Will Be Amazing To Watch

Joe Burrow is playing at a higher level than Trevor Lawrence, and there is no way to dispute that. However, Lawrence has been “clutch” enough in his career to think he will rise to the spotlight when needed. He has done it all his career.

The game should be so much fun to watch with both teams going up and down the field, trading blows all night.

Difference In Defense May Be Where Victory Will Be Determined

This time, however, it’s an excellent opportunity to fade the public. Everybody is betting LSU after destroying Oklahoma, and how can you blame them? They looked that good.

Yet, remember the Sooners’ defense is nowhere near as talented as Clemson’s.

We Are Betting On…

Think about this. By taking Clemson, you are getting six points, the best coach, the most experienced quarterback and a championship tested program.

Forget about the hype and grab the points. This game should be closer than a six-point difference. Bet Clemson +6 to beat the spread.
