3M Open PGA Tour – Golf Betting Odds And Preview
Nate Lashley’s win at the Rocket Mortgage Classic was the big news in golf last week, but we’re right back to the tour this week with a new event. The 3M Open takes place at TPC Twin Cities and will be broadcasted on the GOLF Channel, along with CBS. There are a whole host of bets available for the tournament, including futures on who will win, head-to-head matchups and more.
Players will be looking for the trophy and $1.152 million of the 6.5 million dollar prize pool if they should win Blaine, Minnesota this weekend. There are also 500 FedExCup points on the line.
The Course – TPC Of The Twin Cities, Blain Minessota
The course has been played several times on the Senior Tour and has produced low scoring. It could be like last week’s tournament. The course is a Par 71 and 7,468 yards. The fairways are quite generous and average around 40 yards wide. The course has ranked top-two in birdies in the last seven years on the Champions Tour. The greens are Bentgrass.
Odds Analysis: We don’t have anyone far ahead of the pack in this one, but Koepka leads the field at +700, followed by Jason Day at +1000. A lot of the usual suspects make up the top-ten, such as Matsuyama, Reed, Dechambeau, and Finau.

Patrick Reed +2200
Reed has some attractive odds at +2200 in this event. He famously won a fantastic singles match against Rory McIlroy last time he played in Minnesota. He began the year in good form but has struggled to find his stroke since March. Reed got his first top-20 finish in the past three months at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. He hit nearly 80% of his greens in Detroit and with this course having so many birdie opportunities – I really like his chances.
Joaquin Niemann +2800
He’s extremely young but quite talented. The 20-year-old Chilean could be an elite golfer in the years to come. He’s in top form right now after two top-five finishes in the Travelers Championship and Rocket Mortgage. There is little reason to think this kid can’t pull off a win here. He hit over 80 percent of greens at the Detroit Golf Club. He’s also third in overall ball striking.
Scott Piercy +5000
Piercy has the potential to be a perfect match with this course because of his ability to convert birdies. He ranks 26th in scoring average and has been excellent on Par 4 scoring average, where he is ranked 10th. He’s a long shot and doesn’t have the talent of the top guys, but he’s a perfect match for this course.
