FORMULA ONE CONSTRUCTORS’ CHAMPIONSHIP BETTING ODDS
Similar to F1 drivers’ championship, this title is awarded to the team which finished with the most points cumulatively after a full racing season.
Again, points are awarded to the first ten cars and their respective constructors. Winning this title is as prestigious as winning the Driver’s Championship.

Formula 1 Betting Strategies
There are a number of different strategies which you should use in order to improve your understanding of Formula One and increase your chances of making winning bets. Below, you will find the most important strategies to help you start betting online on Formula 1 races.
FORMULA ONE ADVANCED STATISTICS
It’s important to understand that Formula One is a largely data-driven sport. Tiny details often have a profound impact on the outcome of any race or driver’s performance.
Therefore, having in-depth statistical knowledge will boost your ability to pick the winner. We recommend StatsF1.com as a good place to look up F1 statistics.
F1 DRIVER’S TRACK PREFERENCES
Not all racing circuits are made equal. Some have tight corners, short straightaways, or dirty surface, therefore, knowing which track a certain driver favors is vital to take into account ahead of a race weekend.
It is also important to be aware of each driver’s racing history and style as it pertains to a particular Grand Prix circuit as this will improve your betting prediction.
DON’T MISS READING THE RACE PREVIEW
Don’t forget to read race previews written by experts in the build-up to the Formula One weekend. They often have useful F1 news and inside knowledge about race drivers and teams heading into the Grand Prix.
You should take this insider information into account as part of your overall research before making any bet selection.
THE WEATHER FACTOR IN FORMULA 1 RACES
The weather during the race weekend plays a huge roll in the outcome of Grand Prix. Falling rain has produced some of the most infamous racing incidents in the sport’s history and caused some shocking F1 race results.
Research which driver fares better in wet or interchangeable conditions as it will influence the outcome of a race.
F1 GRID POSITION – THE POLE POSITION
The grid position at Grand Prix circuits has a bigger role than any other factors mentioned above. For example, the Monaco track, which is notoriously twisty and makes it hard for drivers to overtake one another with only one clear overtaking opportunity. On the other hand, the Canadian Grand Prix offers areas to pass on almost every corner. The more passing opportunities a track has the higher chances that F1 driver can win from behind.

Formula 1 Typical Weekend
A Formula One race is very different from most sporting events. Football, basketball, soccer and many other popular sports are all one team versus another, therefore, there are only three possible outcomes either a win for either team or a draw.
During F1 racing weekend, 20 competitors line up for each race, which means there are over a million different combinations of finishing results for a race. This in turns offers endless opportunities.
FORMULA ONE PRACTICE
The track action begins with two 90 minute practice sessions on Friday. These don’t count towards the final race result and add nothing from the betting point of view.
However, they are very valuable in terms of what they can teach you about the performance of each F1 car and the driver which you can later use in the decision process on what driver you will place your bet.
F1 QUALIFYING SESSION
It is a good habit of checking the weather forecast for qualifying, as rain will make conditions more unpredictable. Some drivers, Hamilton or Vettel, can perform in the rain as well as on the dry circuit but for some the rain brings nightmares.
Besides the drivers, difficult weather condition also affects racing cars performance plus tire selection which is of the utmost importance in the F1 race.
The Formula 1 qualifying is run as a three-stage knockout. Depending on how many cars are entered, a group of the slowest drivers is eliminated in Q1, and again in Q2, leaving a ten cars race for the pole position in Q3.
A great market to look at during qualifying are the odds for pole position. By this stage, you would have had plenty of opportunities to see a car and teams performance at the circuit during free practice and should have some good insight on who could potentially win the race.
FORMULA ONE RACE
A Formula One Grand Prix is run to a minimum distance of 305 km (189.5 miles) with a maximum time limit of two hours. Many races are decided at the start, hence the importance of the pole position from the qualifying, as whoever leads the field at the end of lap one has the benefit of a clear track in front of them which allows for greater speeds and make the overtaking very difficult from behind.
Sunday is where the information collected from Friday practice comes into play. A team may lock out the front row of the grid in qualifying but if their tire life is poor they’re unlikely to win. Paying attention to the whole weekend and looking at team strategy throughout the weekend can pay handsomely when betting on F1 at sportsbooks.
Formula One History
Formula One has been the premier single-seater motorsport competition for 68 years since the maiden season in 1950. Giuseppe Farina was the first F1 World Champion, with Italy’s Alberto Ascari the first multiple World Champion following title success in 1952 and 1953.
There have been 16 multiple World Champions, with Michael Schumacher topping the leaderboard with seven titles to his name, making him three clear of the closest challenger in Formula 1’s history of winners thou Hamilton each year is getting closer to beating this record.
The United Kingdom is the most successful of all nationalities, with 16 World Championships, with Germany trailing by six largely due to the success of Schumacher and Vettel since 2000 and him having few more years behind the wheel in the F1 car we can expect this record to fall.
In terms of constructor success, Ferrari has participated in every World Championship since 1950, having featured in over 900 Grand Prix.
The Prancing Horse team has also won the most Constructor’s Championships, 15. Mercedes, the Silver Arrows, returned to the grid in 2010 following a 45-year absence but regular mainstays include McLaren debutant in 1966 and Williams, who first appeared in an F1 event in 1978.
